 Vivekpally : A People's Platform

After several months of field and project experience SEVAA realised that instead of working with single project,  SEVAA should move with a holistic approach of development to get a better and greater impact fom the field. Vivekpally is such a people's platform through which they can take decisions, plan the target, make strategies, implement jointly, review from the field and modify themselves according accordingly and converge all kinds of support existing, Governmental and to be received from SEVAA. In this platform, they can identify their gaps and any support they require from outside. Thus with this goal in mind the concept of Vivekpalli took birth in early 2022. SEVAA Vivekpalli is an adopted village by SEVAA to inject all-round development in the village in-line with SEVAA working-areas of Education, Health, Livelihood,Emergency-Relief, Culture and Environment. SEVAA surveyed a few villages in Ajodhya Hills and the first Vivekpalli was established in April-2022 in the “Village Saparambera”, Ajodhya, Purulia . The village has no school, electoricity, proper livelihood and roads. The villagers has no adequate money to buy quality seeds for Farming. SEVAA started connecting the village with outside world and Governmental facilities and train them how to solve problems by best utilisation of existing resources,  Govenmental support available for them and identification of gap to reach the goal. Herein SEVAA in collaboration with other different NGOs, Institutes and Private Banks started  fulfilling the gaps through the Vivekpally. Education, Livelihood, Health, Environment, Agriculture,  indigenous folk culture and total welbeing of the people living there are some of the salient areas of work whivh has been initiated at Saparambera. This Vivekpally was named as Birbaba Tilka Murmu Vivekpalli (an Unit of SEVAA)which has been executing activities on all 52 families of that village .

A 11-member Working Committee of the villagers including 2 Sevaa representatives carry out all regular activities in the village under the guidance of SEVAA. In the last 2 years SEVAA has started  projects at Saparambera Vivekpalli mainly in areas of Education, Health, Livelihood, Agriculture, Environment and Culture. A great impact can be seen on the mind of the villagers. This village has already attracted the attention of local administration, people's represetatives and officers od Block and District level.
